3 Toys for Kids That You Cannot Go Wrong With

The worst part about buying toys for kids is the upward-pointed-nose-with-wrinkled-cheeks look that they give you when they lie 'thank you I love it'. Being a bachelor, I often received that look until I discovered 3 toys for kids you cannot go wrong with...

Syma S107 R/C Helicopter with Gyroscope and Remote

This brand new 3 channel gyro mini metal RC helicopter is one of the world's newest, smallest and lightest RC helicopters you can get! It fits in the palm of your hand and is fully functional, equipped with latest Gyroscope technology for crash-free flights. The chopper charges directly either from the USB cable or from the controller which uses AA batteries.

The control and handling is very good. You can easily maneuver into tight spots and hover in place. Landing is easy unlike with single prop helicopters where it's a challenge just to stay in the air and avoid walls. One sad thing is, though the helicopter runs the 7 to 10 minutes as expected, it requires 50 minutes to charge. Average helicopters charge in 10 minutes.

Lego Harry Potter Freeing Dobby

An all time favorite, this inexpensive Harry Potter set includes 3 minifigures: Harry Potter, Lucius Malfoy and Dobby. The plot is to free Dobby from the clutches of Lucius Malfoy with Harry Potter and blast Lucius Malfoy with magic using the push function. The 73 piece set features other elements such as spiders, flames and Tom Riddle's diary.

You can build this little Dobby kit in an hour or two and have a great time. This kit has a lot of cute little details such as Malfoy falling, little flames, and Dobby is totally sweet with his little sock!

Melissa & Doug Shape, Model and Mold

For smaller kids, I recommend this as perfect for creative play. It includes five easy-grip, wooden stamping cubes, three rolling pins, four modeling dough tubs with molding lids and a patterned wheel press that provide hours of great fun while building the child's imagination.

A friend I gifted this to says these are really good! They have had many playdough toys in the past but their son has played the most with this one. He loves to create the triangles, circles, squares and absolutely freaks out on the rollers! The dough they supply with this set is not very good, she cautions!

Just goes to prove you don't need dough to buy lovable toys for kids!
